  • ABSTRACT: The research focuses on the static load capacity of a spur gear. The gear works in extreme conditions - continuous shock loads, causing its frequent destruction. Special attention is paid to the study of the impact of the materials used and their heat and chemical-heat treatment. The gear is deciphered and studied at given load, kinematics, mode and geometric constraints imposed on the construction. The study was done in the software environment of the specialized in the field of machine elements software program MITCalc. The program helped to determine the basic causes for the failure of the gear. The results of the final and optimal variant are presented in a systematic way, convenient for use in its next optimization.

  • ABSTRACT: This article presents a research on the working capacity of metal cutting tools – end – mills, based on the parameter ‘’durability’’. The tools were made from blanks of tool material CATAMOLD M2 obtained by Metal Injection Moulding method. During the study, the over – all impact of the operating mode elements on the tools durability was determined by conducting of a planned experiment. The exponents in the expanded Taylor formula were determined for this tool material.

  • ABSTRACT: Finish machining with diamond burnishing is used to improve the performance properties of machine parts. Compared with other types of plastic deformation, diamond burnishing has significant advantages, arising from the physic-mechanical properties of diamond and the conditions under which it takes place. In the work the conditions and factors that affect the quality of the processed diamond smoothing surfaces are analyzed.

  • ABSTRACT: This article discusses the causes of premature failure of the drum cast cylpebs made of a white high chrome cast iron LLC «Dalvarzinsky repair factory». Theoretical and practical basics of preparation and receipt of cylpebs by casting in earthen form were observed. In the article is presented the best option of the chemical composition of cast iron ICHH28N2 brand and its mechanical properties-hardness of iron, optimal thermal treatment with a double phase recrystallization for cast cylpebs are presented. The composition and properties of the iron before and after heat treatment are studied. The final heat treatment mode, increasing hardness and wear resistance of cast cylpebs in two or more times are proposed.
